Get Rodeo Ready with this DIY Western Inspired Upcycled Belt Bracelet

Every June, my sleepy little community comes alive when the Eastern Oregon Livestock Show comes to town. 4-H and FFA kids finally get to show their animals after walking them around town for months, the carnival arrives, the parade winds down Main Street announcing the arrival of the rodeo and you can even win some money on the horse races if you are so inclined.

So this year, I decided to refashion a few things that would be perfect to wear to the rodeo.

I started with this super simple upcycled western inspired belt bracelet that you can easily create in a few minutes from an old thrift store belt.

Hi Beth, I love this western look. Could you post a picture of the suede attached to the ends so that I can see how you finished it? That would be so helpful. I like the idea of using a belt that is too small to wear as a belt…I have a few of those :)

  2. love it …and so simple the way you did it!

I was just looking at some of your ‘re-do’s’ and they are so cool! I grew up ‘re-doing’ because we were very poor and it was necessary not cool then. I also love that you do not use a ‘model’ who is 85 pounds. Thank you! I shop at some wonderful consignment stores where I find lots of ‘goodies’ and I do refashion also just not as much as I would like. Great ideas and thanks again so much for sharing!!!

  4. I’m amazed, I must say. Rarely do I come
across a blog that’s both equally educative and engaging, and without a doubt, you’ve hit the nail on the
head. The issue is something which not enough people are speaking intelligently about.
I am very happy that I found this in my hunt for something regarding this.
